River crossings in Mount Isa have gone under once again with the continuation of rain in the region.

As of 9am Wednesday, December 30, the highest rainfall in the north west was 57 millimetres at Julia Stand north of Cloncurry.
Mount Isa had 34mm overnight and in the last seven days there has been a total of 46mm.
Shift-supervisor Senior Sergeant Brendan Poustie said all crossings in town are closed except the Grace Street Crossing.
“If it is closed, obey the signs because they are there for a reason,” he said.
As of 9:30am Wednesday, December 30, a number of roads across the north west remain closed.
Including the Gregory Downs Camooweal Road, Cloncurry Duchess Road, Flinders Highway, Cloncurry, Wills Development Road, Julia Creek, and Richmond Winton Road.
As of Tuesday, December 29, Lake Moondarra water levels were at 41.7 per cent and Lake Julius at 80.4 per cent.
