Agriculture Minister Leanne Donaldson recently announced the winners of the Queensland Government Minister for Agriculture Scholarships, each of whom will receive $5,000 to help them commence their studies in January 2016.
Five students will study at Emerald Agricultural College and five will study at Longreach Pastoral College.
“The agricultural sector offers an enormous range of career opportunities,” Ms Donaldson said.
“As a major contributor to Queensland’s economy, agriculture has a big future in our state. With global market opportunities to feed the world, we need to continue to support and encourage agricultural students, just as we have done here.”
The scholarship winners head to Emerald Agricultural College are: Aaron Clifford, Maryborough, Ashlie Peacock, Goovigen, Emily Soward-Amalfi, Moranbah, Garth Slack, Gayndah and Jonetani Qorovarua, Baralaba.
