Located on the Mitchell Highway 22km south of Charleville and in 13 titles. There is a further 1862ha of fenced reserve and a permit to occupy. In addition, there is a further 2428ha of Warrego River reserve currently used by Wallal. The locked in PMAV has 9470ha mapped as catergory X.
The property was scheduled to be auctioned by Ray White Rural in Brisbane today.
Marketing agent Bruce Douglas, Ray White Rural, said the sale price remained undisclosed.
Wallal is described as having 4188ha of semi open plains/channels adjacent the Warrego River, 13,407ha of soft red mulga country scattered with poplar/box and kurrajong, 3440ha pulled and seeded to buffel grass since 2014, 243ha stick raked and seeded to buffel grass, 97ha blade ploughed and seeded to buffel grass, 129ha deep ripped and seeded to buffel grass, and 97ha low level ponding and seeded to buffel grass.
A flowing bore supplies the entire property through 65km of polypipe line to 25 troughs and numerous tanks. There are also seven dams located around the property.
The property is divided into 13 main paddocks and four holding paddocks. There are 36km of new fencing and laneways to the cattle yards. The owner estimates the carrying capacity to be 850 breeding cows. The steel cattle yards will handle 600 head.
The modern five bedroom, two storey homestead is a feature of the property. There is also a renovated workers’ cottage, six stand shearing shed with yards, shearers’ quarters, and machinery shed/workshop.
