Workplace Health and Safety Queensland are continuing to investigate the death of a German backpacker, who died after being pinned underneath a ride-on mower on an avocado farm in the Gold Coast hinterland earlier this month.

Jennifer Kohl, 27, and a man were on a ride-on mower being driven along the side of a hill, when it rolled and pinned her underneath on December 8.
Emergency services were called to the property on MacDonnell Road in Tamborine Mountain, 40 kilometres north-west of the Gold Coast, about 11.30am but Ms Kohl died at the scene.
One of Ms Kohl's best friends, who wanted to be named only as Mathias, said Ms Kohl was a strong and inspirational woman.
"She was my best friend for over 10 years and she accompanied me through good and bad times," Mathias said in a statement to Fairfax Media.
"She was the one who gave me the power and motivation not to give up over and over again in just a unique way that I never seen before.
"She really meant (a) lot to me and with the news of her death I definitely lost a part of my life .... but she taught me to be a fighter and this is something I thank her (for).
"I will remember her as a strong woman, as someone who has enriched my life and I'm happy and proud to have met her."
Ms Kohl, who came to Australia from the east-German city of Leipzig, was also described as a shy person who loved cats.
"Jennifer was the reason why I was starting to draw/paint, why I was sharing the same hobby and draw animals like her, because I admired her for her passion," Mathias said.
"Jennifer will be forever in my heart."
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland investigations were ongoing and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
