A headless crocodile was spotted today on the Normanton-Karumba Rd making it the third such gruesome discovery in North Queensland in the last two months.

A reader who did not wish to be named told the North West Star they spotted the 2.7m headless crocodile 20m off the edge of the road between Normanton and Karumba this morning (Thursday, October 18).
The reader measured the crocodile with a ruler and sent in another photo not shown where the crocodile’s head is completely missing.
The reader also said the local Rangers were aware of the croc which was sited around halfway between the two towns near Jenny Lind and Brannigan Creeks.

The incident comes in the months after two headless crocodiles were found in North Queensland.
A 2.5m crocodile was found without its head near Mount Isa on Sunday August 5.
A second incident occurred a few weeks later at Herbert River near Townsville.
