Webster, 25, won the second-division saddle bronc in 2017 at the Mt Isa Rodeo and qualified in saddle bronc for both the 2018 and 2019 Warwick Rodeo APRA National Finals.
He puts a lot of his success down to retired saddle bronc rider Peter Moffatt who guided him early in his career.
"I now travel a lot with Greg Hamilton and Cameron Webster and they help me with my riding," Tom said.
"It is fun travelling with Greg and Cameron and they are part of the reason I am doing well.
"Rodeo is a great lifestyle."
Tom rates his best performance to date was a win in saddle bronc at the North Queensland Elite Rodeo last year when he scored 86 on the Garry McPhee horse Cheyenne Top Girl.
He was runner-up in the battle for the rookie saddle bronc title in the APRA last year.
His first major APRA win was a victory in second-division saddle bronc at Mt Isa in 2017.
This season he has won second-division bareback rides at Merrijig, Chiltern (both Victoria) as well as New South Wales rodeos at Wagga Wagga and Finley.
He was second in the open bareback bronc ride at Narrandera in New South Wales last month.
Tom makes no secret that he has taken up a second event, bareback bronc riding, to be in the running for an all around cowboy title.
"I plan to compete in both saddle and bareback bronc rides for at least another decade and want to win an all around title," he said.
He works on the family cattle property at Injune where he runs a horse breaking business preparing horses for campdrafting, cutting and stockmen's challengers.
"I generally have 15 horses in work," he said.
"I also have some horses at home to practice my rodeo riding."
He competed in the United States in the Australian winter last year and may head to America again one day.
"I went to some rodeo schools when I was in America in 2019," Tom said.
Due to coronavirus, APRA rodeos scheduled for Clare (SA), Euroa (Vic) and Penrith this weekend have been cancelled.
